Once again corportate fast food giant Mcdonalds has show it’s true colours when it comes to it’s public interest claims on health of it’s customers with the launch of the giant 42oz soda’s which they have chosen to call HUGO which sells for only 89 cents. It seems in attempt to reintroduce the ’super size’ which was slated so effectively in the Movie ’super size me’ Mcdonalds have decided it’s time to fight back with a 42oz sugar filled soda which tips the calorie scale at a whopping 420 calories.
All of this fly’s in the face of everything the Mcdonalds publicity and promotions have been trying to do with their more responsible menu options. It now seems these we put in place long enough for us to take our eye of the ball and now under cover of darkness they have sneaked this latest offering up their under the guise of quenching that summer thirst.

Following on from my previous post you can see my 9 snack bars which should be good for you but aren’t so if you have been buying these assuming they were helping you lose weight or get healthy you might want to think again and take a look at my first list as a healthier alternative.
Anyway I have to say I was shocked … Very shocked when I started to look at some of the supposed diet food and nutrition snack bars and found they were anything but diet and those claiming to be nutrition were just packed full of sugar and fat.

Fast food, it’s all pretty much of a muchness but in it’s favor, most of it tastes pretty good and the second most influential factor is it’s fast and normally pretty cheap.
Many people find it difficult to eat healthy when a special offer cheeseburger and fries costs less than a salad or a bag of fresh fruit. The money involved in promoting fast food in every way, by what ever method possible is obscene especially when much of it is aimed at our kids. After all when did you last see a promotion for healthy food making prime time TV?
