“Just when you were getting the Nutrition Pyramid down to an exact science, the USDA goes and releases an all new nutrition and diet plan for healthy Americans.”
That was the news in April 2005 when the United States Department of Agriculture unveiled its new My Pyramid nutrition pyramid. Available at its own web site (www.mypyramid.gov), the new guidelines aren’t so much NEW as they are more in depth, detailed and helpful.

The USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) basically changed the way it recommends food types back in 2005. The 4 food types it had been recommending was reviewed and increased to 6, Grains, Vegetables, Fruit, Milk, Meat&Beans and Oils.
Each type has certain guidelines
