How To Have Healthy Cholesterol Levels

February 22nd, 2008 · No Comments

Maintaining healthy cholesterol levels is important for our health. Higher than normal levels can lead to atherosclerosis or thickening of the inner walls of the arteries. This can lead to high blood pressure and other conditions that affect the cardiovascular system. A healthy cholesterol level is determined by the amount of cholesterol within the blood. After having a blood test a doctor will give you a number (in milligrams) that indicates the amount of cholesterol in a deciliter of blood. If this number is over 200 then it is high. You should start doing something about reducing this level. This article will discuss things you can do to have healthy cholesterol levels.
