Diabetes Tests: Do they work or not?

March 13th, 2008 · No Comments

To get handle on diabetes testing, we must first understand the disease. Diabetes is a lack of, or improper use of, the insulin that our body produces we can show this by diabetes testing but how effective is It?

Our digestive system breaks down the foods we eat into a sugar substance, called glucose, which our body uses as fuel. When glucose enters our bloodstream, we growth and have energy to live. Our body’s cells need insulin in the blood to be able to use glucose in the blood effectively. Insulin is produced in the pancreas. When we eat, the pancreas creates insulin although in a diabetic this is not the case of it only produces a low level of insulin.
