Not All Calories Are Created Equal - The Evidence

July 29th, 2007 · No Comments

have just finished reading about how not all calories are treated equally another excellent post by my friend James Brausch at the weight loss dude website and I thought I ought to share it with you.

Let me explain before you read Jame’s article … James comes over as very controversial to many people and to some a little arrogant but I have know James now for around 4 years and most everything he has to say he backs up with very sound argument which may fly in the face of the normal conventional view in most peoples eyes.

James is an Internet Marketer and Search Engine Optimization expert whom I much respect for in his choosen field again his methods may be a little unorthodox but they get results.

I expect you will find it hard to agree with James’s way of explaining things ( I did say he was outspoken) but he pretty much leaves you with no way of refuting his findings… So lets look briefly at his latest post and then you can read the rest at his weightloss site weightloss dude .

James states not all calories are made equal and then goes on to explain why .. each human is not a simple machine but a very complex one which behaves differently to any other human so a simple food (calories) in energy (burned calories) out senario makes no sense at all. But this is what many diet experts would have us believe and is constantly used as the yard stick for many very popular and commercially succesful diet plans.

James then proposes an experiement you can carry out to prove that not all calories are created equally … BTW, I don’t suggest you carry out the experiment (you could if you really wanted to) but I would concur with James’s findings and I think you would also?

In a nut shell by carrying out James’s experiment you would prove to yourself that the body treats calories very differently from different sources those being fat, carbohydrate and protein. He even suggest if you were so inclined you could also prove this using mice (not also recommended as your home will soon be over run by them!) this he suggests can be used to disprove any other theories such as biorythms, the phase of the moon and all the other reasons that might explain different results to those predicted.

I am not sure James did the actual mice experiement He may well have done he is a stickler for detail but I
