Here are some of my favorite eating habits to help you lose the pounds especially at those times when you are vulnerable and likely to be tempted to eat the wrong kind of foods. By adopting good eating habits you will increase you chances of losing weight without having to sacrifice your diet plan and still enjoying yourself.
1. Morning Coffee time: - If you tempted to pop in to Starbucks or your favorite coffee house you might be tempted to indulge in a pastry or maybe croissant which could be as much as 200- or even 300 calories. The coffee is fine provided you make it a skinny one or an expreso depending on your tastes and accompany it with low fat cereal bar or a piece of fruit.
2. Afternoon Tea or Coffee Break:- Tea or Coffee and cookies are the ideal afternoon snack guaranteed to pile on those pounds. Again the coffee or tea with skinny milk (or tea with a slice of lemon) is fine but instead of a plate cookies replace with a nice juicy apple or pear or even a banana or alternatively an oatcake or an oatmeal cookie (low fat is best) will make a healthy alternative.
3. At The Bar:- If stopping for an after work drink on your way home from work choose a nice glass of white wine. If you like to have a nibble when drinking avoid the peanuts on the bar and go for healthy olives which have around 4 calories each. A piece of fruit or another healthy snack before going to the bar might fight of the urge to snack.
5. In The Car :- If you have ever been a sales person of any sort or travel a regular commute you have probably fallen foul of the meal in the car syndrome…
This normally consists of a chocolate bar, a burger or a sub and a can of soda often eaten in the car (which is not exactly safe if you are driving) . The obvious problem it is about as unhealthy as it gets and will cancel out days of hard work and sacrifce.So be prepared take with you a some fruit or even a few carrots to nibble on if you get the munchies whilst in the car. Another good way to forget about eating is some high energy music which will stop your mind drifting to how you want to eat.

6. At the movies:- Don’t go buying one of those gigantic tubs of popcorn which could contain around a whopping 1500 calories. Instead by a packet of rice cakes (they make them in different flavours now) will provide that extra nibble when you get to the exciting bits in the movie. Also avoid the soda’s even the diet ones and settle for a bottle of water or fruit juice (natural) instead.
