I came across this article on Monday on the Reuters news board and thought it was worthy of inclusion about Chelsea Clinton (former US President Bill Clinton’s daughter) using a herbal weight loss patch from being sold in China although you will see it’s validity is rather brought into question.

According to the manufacturers it claims Chelsea Clinton has lost 26.5lbs in less than a month using this new miracle patch claims which are now be investigated by the Chinese Goverment in Bejjing.

What happens is that users are advised to stick the patch where they want to lose the most weight and just wait for the fat to flow out them according to the manufacturer.Don’t blame me I am only passing on the information which it must be said does sound a little incredulous.  

The patch is named after an acupuncture point and translates clumsily into “America Seven-Point Thinness”. All starting to sound rather fishy I am sure you would agree.

Though it is claimed to be imported from the United States — where the advertisments said it was a top seller and used by Chelsea Clinton — it was actually made by a company from the industrial city of Tianjin.

What the Chinese making fake products surely not ….never…

In the few months it was on the market, the commercials helped propel sales to more than 200 million yuan ($26.32 million)

That is pretty serious money you have to agree I only help Chelsea got her money for the endorsement : > )

Chinese herb and tonics are popular worldwide but when products like this are allowed to come to market the credibility of these genuine products will of course be brought in to question.
