Weight gain can be a very slow process. For most people, it is a matter of one pound here, one pound there, and the next thing you know you’re 10 pounds heavier. Well if I had penny for every one who told me that they suddenly got fat I’d be living a life of extreme luxury.
No folks weight gain is gradual so it never ceases to amaze me how many people think weight loss should be instant well contrary to what some diet programs would have you believe it never has been and probably never will be.
This is why almost everyone, at one point or another, will want to lose 10 pounds and more. To lose 10 pounds is very realistic for almost everyone, and is achievable for most people though some minor changes in diet and by exercising just a little bit more than you do now.
You see if you are typical of most people you are too busy to find time to exercise so even some small amount will achieve results and pretty quickly. It is because we don’t have enough time to exercise that when we do we want to get the most from it.
What few people know is that when you exercise in the morning it is much more successful than any other time of day.
There are two main reasons why you can more easily lose the pesky pounds by exercising in the morning.
The first and maybe more obvious reason is it is much easier to build into your daily routine. One of the major keys to losing weight by exercise is to do it regularly, which many people find difficult: it’s always hard to find time.
So a great reason for exercising in the morning is that you’ll have very little distraction. In many ways, you are literally “making time” for the exercise by starting your day earlier. It does work wonders and will losing 20 minutes sleep really kill you? ( i doubt it!)
Now, the other reason the morning exercise program works so well is because you will be burning calories from fat already in your system.
This principle is based, of course, on the idea that you don’t eat before you exercise. You can of course haev your breakfast after exercise and you’ll be ready for it.
The way you’re going to lose unwanted pounds is by burning fat, and when you exercise your body normally burns both fat and carbohydrates.
Now it gets a little more complicated and scientific but I’ll do my best to explain in simple term. Your body’s main and preferred source of energy is carbohydrates, so when you exercise you will start to burn any carbohydrates first, and then your body will dip into its fat reserves.
Normally when we exercise we have just a few hours before so our metabolism is burning carbohydrates from the previous meal which makes burning fat much harder. But in the morning we have not eaten and stored carbohydrate so bodies metabolism looks for the next best thing and starts burning up fat stored.
When you exercise in the morning on an empty stomach, you’re burning energy at a time when your body’s carbohydrate levels are the lowest, and therefore more fat will be burned with the same amount of exercise. There have been quite a number of medical studies that suggest over 250% more fat is burned when you exercise in this state.
Now I don’t want you to think this is quick fix solution nothing will happen after one session but as you introduce an exercise routine in to your early morning you will start noticing results. You will of course need to keep an eye on your diet and make sure the first day it rains you don’t stop the exercises (if exercising out doors).
