A little social drinking won’t do you any harm, and in some circumstances it can actually be good for you in moderation. But the consumption of excessive amounts of alcohol will do very little for maintaining a youthful appearance.
The youngsters of today who party today may live to regret their actions as they become older. The may well experience health problems and age much faster than those who drink more sensibly or don’t drink at all.
Alcohol dehydrates you and by drinking a lot of alcohol the effect of the dehydration is magnified which causes the skin to become less well hydrated and there by becomes dry and lifeless.
Applying moisturizers will not compensate for the lack of hydration from within.
A majority of excess drinking in people is at parties and that sort of environment. This means the room is likely to be smoked filled and this combined with the excess alcohol can very quickly lead to skin aging.
Lifestyle choices affect your appearance and a unhealthy life style is reflected in an unhealthy complexion, and that is not the way to stay looking young.
As the obesity problem continues almost out of control amongst younger women and men it should be no suprise to anyone that at least some of the excess weight can be directly linked to excess use of alcohol.
While they might ‘get away with it’ while they are still young it will certainly take it’s toll as they age and should they continue to live in such a manner they will see the effects their foolhardy behaviour has had on them both on their appearance and their general health.
It is good to have fun in life and that will actually help to keep you feeling younger but there must be limits. Remember sometimes things that seems a good idea at the time can have a huge effect on you later down the track.
As they say everything is fine in moderation but take it easy.
